The Flat White Awakening
Location: Camden café, Wednesday morning Outfit: Cropped black tee, cherry fuse glowing faintly just above the sternum
She ordered her drink like a line from a spy film. "Extra hot. Like me." The barista knocked over the almond syrup and whispered something to the steam wand. A woman at the next table deleted her ex’s number and stepped outside for air.
By 10:15am, two women had handed in their notice via napkins. One man tried to meditate but cried instead.
Conclusion: The design prompts small-scale revolutions. High likelihood of self-reclamation in public. Milk frothers may overreact.
She stood mid-presentation and said, “This doesn’t align with my neurobiology,” then walked out. Her resignation letter read: “I have remembered who I am.”
The HR manager reread it for an hour. By lunchtime, three people had booked therapy.

Later, she returned the crisps and bought ingredients for shakshuka.
