What This Feels Like
You know when you can sense the conversation is not really about the topic anymore? It is about which team you are on. You start speaking in passwords. You stop asking certain questions. Not because you are weak, but because the social cost gets weird. That is an Identity Lane. It feels like clarity and community. It can quietly become a reality tunnel.
Practical Orientation
Here is the move. Keep your belonging, but reclaim your questions. If you feel yourself performing, pause. If disagreement feels like betrayal, that is the lane tightening. Step sideways. Add one sentence you are "allowed" to think but rarely say. Talk to a real human who does not share your feed. You can still care, you just do not need to become a mascot for your own opinions.
